Windpower Project Development
Windpower generation in the U.S. has experienced rapid growth since its introduction in the 1980s. Technological advances, cost-competitiveness, and a strong demand for renewable energy has driven the industry to a 28% annual growth rate over the past five years. The outlook for economic, clean, renewable energy has never been brighter.

Tierra Energy is committed to windpower, and has extended its energy industry experience into this fast growing market segment. Tierra has several advanced windpower projects in development, including our Ocotillo and Notrees projects in Texas and our Happy Jack project in Wyoming. Additional early and mid-stage development projects are underway in Texas, Wyoming, Idaho, and several other selected states.

Natural Gas-Fired Power Generation Projects
Tierra Energy targets development and acquisitions of natural-gas fired power generation assets, notably those assets with long-term energy sales and fuel supply agreements. Projects with proven gas turbine technology and long term contracts with investment grade off-takers are attractive due to their highly predictable and stable cash flows.

Tierra is focused on building a portfolio of small to mid-size natural gas-fired projects. Once a project is acquired, Tierra takes an active management role and financially aligns itself with investors and lenders to ensure mutual benefit. Our hands-on approach yields superior project operating performance and increased value to all stakeholders.

Tierra's disciplined approach to investment in natural gas-fired projects is evidenced by the acquisition of the Rupert and Glenns Ferry facilities in 2004, and the Eastshore Energy Center in 2006.
